Valenzuela City Mayor WES Gatchalian give Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres Gomez a replica of Arkong Bato as a token for the newly forged Sisterhood between Valenzuela City and Ormoc City, Province of Leyte, Thursday, September 8, 2022 held at the Valenzuela City Hall. The Arkong Bato is a famous and iconic stone arc landmark that demarcates the boundary between Rizal and Bulacan province. It was built by Don Mariano Velilla in 1858. In return, Mayor Torres-Gomez gives Mayor Gatchalian a Kalachuchi designed necktie. The Kalachuchi is the official flower of Ormoc City and symbolizes the resiliency of Ormocanons.
